Computer Laboratory
The Department of Library & Information Science at Panjab University boasts well-
equipped computer labs which provide access to a wide range of scholarly web resources.
The labs are fitted with modern computers, high-speed internet, printers, and software
necessary for research and analysis. They also have the essential equipment needed for
teaching, including projectors and whiteboards. Faculty members, students, and
researchers can thus conduct their work and classes efficiently in a comfortable
learning environment.
Library
The Library subscribes to several peer-reviewed journals in addition to a collection of
more than 3000 books and reference sources. It also provides online access to the
University catalogue (OPAC) and other scholarly databases useful for teaching, learning
and research. The library has at present one computer and is in the process of
automation. Library has recently acquired multiple sets of technical tools including
Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) (23rd edition), Sears List of Subject Heading (SLSH)
22nd edition and AACR II. The library provides the students a rich and conducive
environment for the students to learn and share knowledge. It also facilitates group
learning. The library is managed by professionally trained staff under the guidance of
faculty.
