Award of stipend to poor and deserving students

 

Subject: Award of stipends to poor and deserving students of University Teaching Departments for the session 2020-2021.

Dear students,

There is a provision for the award of stipends to poor and deserving students by the Vice Chancellor.  Stipends @ Rs.200/- p.m. per student, subject to a maximum of Rs.2000/- are awarded on the basis of Poverty-cum-Merit to such deserving students who are on the rolls of University Teaching Department, and are neither getting financial assistance from any other source nor enjoying any fee concession.  In order to determine merit, the percentage of marks obtained by a student in his/her last University annual examination shall be taken into consideration (where semester system is in vogue, the merit shall be computed by taking the results of two consecutive semesters together). For determining poverty, income of the parents/guardian as shown in the admission form while seeking admission in the Department, will be taken into consideration.

Deserving students are advised to apply on the attached application form to the department at dlis_pu@pu.ac.in latest by 15.01.2021 positively.
